story: two weeks ago ,senior Travis Logan comes in at first place in a DEAC state  competition  and heads to the nationals.  



The Facts: Color Guard tryouts to be held Tuesday, May 25, to Thursday, May 27, on school campus at west side of parking lot. Girls in grade 10-12 can compete for 16 positions. Skills needed: dance, coordination, rhythm, flag-twirling ability. Those chosen join marching band in fall. Squad performs choreographed routines at football and basketball halftimes, parades. Last fall, 68 girls came to first session. If necessary, second round will take place the following week. For applications: Ms. Cindy Barker, Color Guard adviser, room 103.

Who:10-12 grade girls 
What: girls try out for a spot on the color guard team
When: May25th - 27th 
Where:west side of parking lot 
Why: girls chosen will perform with the squad
How: squad will perform at school events and games
